Applicants gain valuable insight into Engineering programmes

The University of Lincoln’s School of Engineering hosted yet another great Offer Holder Day

Applicants who currently hold a place in the School of Engineering’s September 2017 intake attended a recent Offer Holder Day, as part of a series of applicant based days run by the University of Lincoln.

The Offer Holder Day is a bespoke experience for applicants to gain first hand insight into the programme(s) they have applied for and to come and chat to students and academic staff at the University. There are various course-related workshops for applicants to attend, in addition to Campus and Accommodation tours.

Recent attendees to February 2017’s Offer Holder Days have been interested in all courses from Mechanical Engineering to Electrical Engineering and Automation Engineering. There has also been significant enrolment interest in the School of Engineering’s BEng and MEng courses.

As part of a recent Offer Holder Day workshop, third year Engineering student, Jan van der Lubbe, demonstrated the function of a gas turbine including its manual operation.

A short clip of this can be seen below.

The next available Offer Holder Day will take place on Saturday 4th of March.

The final Offer Holder Day of the series is Saturday 11th March. It’s not too late to book your place for either of these remaining days, book online here.
