On Tuesday 28th November 2017, the School of Engineering, University of Lincoln, attended the annual Investors in Education Awards, hosted by The EBP.
The awards are a celebration of the partnership between The EBP, secondary schools and businesses in the Lincolnshire region who work together every year to co-ordinate placements for more than 6,000 14-19 year olds.
Dr Colin Dowding was present to collect the School of Engineering’s ‘Investor in Education’ award, in recognition of his exceptional work with schools and young people.
The School of Engineering has been involved in many engineering based projects that have inspired young minds and opened up new opportunities to school children in Lincolnshire- the most recent involvement was at SPARK! Engineering Festival, funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Ingenious Award, and held at Lincoln Cathedral in the summer of 2017.
